If you are taking combined drugs (codeine plus acetaminophen, guaifenesin, or promethazine), you should avoid taking other medicines that contain acetaminophen, guaifenesin, or promethazine. For example, do not take acetaminophen (Tylenol®) while taking Tylenol with Codeine®.
